Hello from Illinois!

What's up, readers?!  My name is Adam Peterson and I'm a Kindergarten teacher from Illinois!  I've been teaching K for 11 years and have no plans of going anywhere else.  I'm on a continuous mission to make K fun again through play, imagination, and friendships!  I'm a huge promoter of the "learn through play" movement and encourage others to jump on board.  I'm very lucky to have a GINORMOUS classroom where my kiddos can play, learn, and grow together!  Here are a few pictures of my room:

As you can see I also use a flexible seating approach and it works out so well!  I look forward to sharing more ideas with all of you through The Guys Of Primary blog.  I'm honored to be a part of this awesome team and look forward to making connections with our readers through this blog!

  1. It’s good to know about your career as kindergarten teacher. Your passion is truly great and liked all this stuff in your class, especially that flexible seating. I am going to join a Phoenix kindergarten pretty soon and hoping to do well there.
