Happy Leap Day: Magic "e" Wand & Center Activity

Happy Leap Day! Hello everyone, it's Chad here from the Male Kindergarten Teacher blog. It's hard to believe that we are already in the month of March tomorrow. I hope that you've enjoyed all of the wonderful tips, tricks, and advice from my fellow Guys of Primary.

I am literally leaping out of my seat to share with you today a magic "e" center activity! Today I am making this magical magic ‘e’ wand. It’s fun, simple, and a great activity for reading those CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) and CVCe (consonant-vowel-consonant-silent e) words! So grab your supplies and let’s get started!

Supplies Needed:
- Star Foam Shapes
- Glitter Glue
- Wands or popsicle sticks
- Die-cutting Machine & Letter e die

I found these Wizard of Waverly Place wands at a store a couple of years ago. However, a popsicle stick works well too!

My students loved decorating their wands with glitter glue! I found a great deal of 50 sticks of glitter glue on Amazon. It has a variety of colors for my students to choose from and they dry nicely too.

Check out this Magic "e" Center Activity Freebie! This is perfect for introducing CVCe words! Enjoy! Click on the picture to download the center activity from my TeachersPayTeachers Store or Click Here!

What do The Guys of Primary have planned for the month of March? Stay tuned to find out!
